This top-of-the-line shingle is composed of two layers of premium roofing material, each layer made on a dimensionally stable non-woven glass fiber mat, which is thoroughly impregnated and stabilized with waterproofing bitumen. As a laminated shiplap shingle, Crowne Slate provides the assurance of long lasting performance and is surfaced with ceramic colored granules, which protect the asphalt from ultraviolet radiation. Due to the shingle's unique shiplap design, roof installation is quicker and easier than conventional shingles. Each shingle has release tape and mineral powder applied to the underside, thus preventing any sticking in the bundle.
