The Smart Start™ starter shingle is an accessory roofing product, used in shingled, steep slope roofing systems, and specifically designed to increase protection against moisture intrusion and blow-off. Smart Start™ is recommended for use on eaves, a required accessory for Enhanced Wind Warranties, suggested for increased wind protection at rakes, and can be used on new construction, re-roofs and re-cover roofing applications.
