3M™ Fire Barrier Ultra GS Wrap Strip is an intumescent wrap, used to form a penetration seal around cables, metallic and non-metallic pipes, and other penetrants with or without insulation, to restore the fire resistance performance of wall, floor and floor-ceiling assemblies. The intumescent property of this material allows 3M™ Fire Barrier Ultra GS Wrap Strip to expand and help maintain a firestop for protection against the passage of flame, smoke and the rise of temperature as service penetrations are exposed to fire. The wrap is cut to the appropriate length, wrapped around the penetrating item(s) the required number of times. 3M™ Fire Barrier Ultra GS Wrap Strip can be installed as an in-hole solution or retained with collars and secured to the supporting construction. It is used in conjunction with 3M™ Fire Barrier 3000 WT, 3M™ Fire Barrier CP 25 WB+, or 3M™ Fire Barrier IC 15 WB+ Sealant.
